As lentes ou objetivas são os olhos da câmera. Por isso devemos entender seu funcionamento com precisão para usarmos cada tipo de lente para a situação correta. Quando falamos em lente, podemos cair no erro de acharmos que trata-se de um tubo plástico ou metálico com uma vidro especial lá dentro. Mas na verdade, o que chamamos de  lente é um conjunto de lentes. Um pacote composto por diversos elementos ópticos em arranjos muito precisos. Os materiais utilizados na fabricação dos “vidros” são muito delicados e de pureza altíssima.

Distância focal

É uma especificação que toda lente tem. É uma medida bem técnica, entre um ponto específicos dentro da lente e o sensor da câmera. Pra que gosta de um tecniquês é: a distância entre o ponto de convergência da luz (ponto nodal) até o ponto onde a imagem é focalizada (o sensor).

I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about composition lately.  I am really trying to push myself to get beyond the rule of thirds and try  out some new methods.

The method I’m experimenting with now is called the Golden Spiral.  It’s based on of all things an ancient sequence of numbers that often repeats in nature.

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144

The sequence is often called the Fibonacci numbers and is named after  Leonardo Fibonacci who was an Italian mathematician.  He didn’t actually invent the series (it’s though to have originated from the Hindu–Arabic numeral system.

The sequence is based on adding the adding adjacent numbers in a string, then carrying the results.

0+1=1, 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, 5+8=13, 8+13=21, 13+21=34 (and so on)

LG is buying HP’s (S HPQ) troubled mobile operating system webOS, according to reports from CNET and the Verge. However, the company doesn’t want to put the system to use in any of its phones: Instead, LG plans to use webOS to power its smart TVs. That could be bad news for Google, (s GOOG) which has been cooperating with LG on getting Google TV into the hands of consumers.

The deal between LG and HP includes the webOS source code, documentation, websites and what’s remaining of the webOS team. Cloud components such as the webOS app store technology as well as all of the patents will remain with HP, but are going to be licensed to LG. There’s no word on the purchase price.

Short and sweet. If you know nothing about car photography beyond what I share here, your car photographs will be satisfying.

1. Always try to shoot at sunrise or sunset.
2. Always have a good clean background and pray for clouds.
3. Use a wide angle lens
4. Always shoot from a low angle
5. Always turn the car’s lights on.
